Virtual Leadership Development Forum
Last week Funds For Learning hosted the first ever Virtual Leadership Development Forum, Global Connections: Pioneering women exceeding the limits for the Institute for Economic Empowerment of Women (IEEW). In July PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS ® (PTB) students are brought to the U.S. to experience two weeks of Leadership Development in Dallas, Texas to complete their training in the program. This year Covid-19 limited the ability for the graduating students to travel to the U.S. for this experience and together with IEEW Funds For Learning worked to host the event virtually.
Sponsors, mentors and speakers assembled from around the world to provide the leadership development forum for women entrepreneur students in Afghanistan, Rwanda and Morocco.
Northwood University, the curriculum content partner, professors taught leadership skills on operations, accounting and marketing during times of crisis. Corporate leaders from AT&T, IBM Resource Group, Amplified Strategies offered support and training on advocacy, community involvement and leading during crisis.

The virtual forum ended on day 3 with congratulation messages from the Mayor of Kigali, Rwanda. Dr. Mamiko Reeves with Northwood University, Dr. Terry Neese founder of IEEW, Marty Walsh National Business Association, and awards from Monica Smiley with Enterprising Women.
Funds For Learning values the work that IEEW does around the world supporting women entrepreneurs. We were thrilled to support the program 2020 PTB® Leadership Development Students and Speakers.
